The JE section of your library may have the book, Seaman's Journal by Patricia Reeder Eubank, about the Newfounland dog that went on the journey. The J section also has a couple of chapter books about the journey from the dog's point of view.
I also found two good photo books: Lewis & Clark; An American Journey, by Daniel B. Thorp, and Lewis & Clark; The Journey of the Corps of Discovery by Dayton Duncan and Ken Burns.
